COECSA during Education and Accreditation services

Ophthalmic Education

COECSA has been facilitating quality Eye care education in the Eastern, Central and southern Africa(ECSA) In support of universal Health Coverage. Our key achievements include harmonized residency,Mid level training Curricula, Train the trainers(TTT) program and accreditation guidelines and policies.

Research and Quality Assurance

COECSA supports different types of research that advance eye care in the region. These include policy research to enhance evidence-based policy development in eye care, clinical research to improve skills and knowledge in ophthalmology.

Capacity Building

Curriculum development and review, Coordinating of sub-specialty training support,Administration of postgraduate scholarships , Outreaches – surgical training,Elective term rotation and Monitoring and evaluation
